About ME

Hello! As a clinical psychologist, I care deeply about helping clients tackle life’s biggest challenges. I focus on creating a partnership that empowers change, enables clients to see themselves in a new light and build relationships that create an important sense of meaning in their lives. I have worked with couples looking to reconnect and people wanting to manage a variety of concerns including anxiety and stress, OCD, grief and loss, identity concerns, life transitions and relationship patterns.

I received my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the Catholic University of America (CUA) in Washington, D.C. During my doctoral study, I trained in a variety of clinical settings including college counseling centers and psychiatric inpatient hospitals, which allowed me to work with a wide breadth of clients of different ages with diverse identities and backgrounds. During my final year of doctoral training I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the CUA Counseling Center and my post-doctoral fellowship at Genesee Valley Psychology here in Rochester. 

I have also conducted research as part of the Chronic Pain Clinic and Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital—Los Angeles (CHLA), exploring the use of integrative health practices (mindfulness meditation, acupuncture, massage therapy) and psychotherapy in reducing chronic pain, peri-operative stress, and post-operative recovery time in pediatric patients.  

I also assisted in the development of a family mindfulness intervention, designed to target the family as a unit as opposed to individual family members, and my doctoral dissertation research focused on examining the mechanisms underlying mindfulness and self-compassion interventions.  

In addition to practicing psychotherapy, I love to play music! I used to work as a professional musician in Los Angeles and hold an Associates Degree in Guitar Performance from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.
